Meet the Team Behind the Movement
Our team is made up of passionate mentors, advocates, and mental health champions who believe in the power of youth voices. We’re here to create safe spaces, break stigma, and walk beside young adults on their journey—every step of the way.

Program Director
John Roop
This is a dream opportunity for me and I feel blessed to be a part of this. I have a background in mental health services as well as youth programming, and during my most recent job, I ran the Teen Center at the West Suburban YMCA! I have worked as a Mental Health Counselor, a Behavior Technician, and a Residential Counselor in my professional experience, and I have learned a lot about how to be a safe and supportive person in people’s lives. I am looking forward to building on the foundation of this program and bringing my own style to YouthQuake as well. I am confident that I can earn your trust and hope that you all will let me support you on whatever journey you’re on. If there is one thing you should know about me, it is that I care about this program and want it to be successful in every way possible.
Young Adult Peer Mentor
Emily Caterino
I have personal experience in the mental health field and have learned a lot with every experience I have gone through in my life. I am beyond excited to bring my own flare to YouthQuake and make it a fun and safe environment for all! I’m optimistic, with time, I can be seen as a trustful and supportive resource for everyone and anyone on their own journey. If there was one thing everyone should know about me, it would be this: everyone’s journey is different in life, and no matter how your journey is going, I want to see you strive and cheer you on from the sidelines.

Peer Leadership Coordinator
Catie Deiley
My professional roles up until this point have centered on helping people in some capacity, whether that’s in the tutoring industry or for the Girl Scouts of the Green and White Mountains. I think building accessible communities is tantamount to our society. In my free time, I am a jack of all trades and enjoy a wide variety of activities from playing bass guitar to making stained glass to writing fantasy novels. Find me at the skating rink or the local café!
TIP Facilitator
Arielys Agramonte
My name is Arielys, and I’m truly excited to be here and to begin this journey with all of you. My background has been focused on working with families and young adults, helping and serving within the community to achieve goals, building success, and becoming the best versions of ourselves. I’ve always been seen as someone you can trust and count on. Together, we can set goals, work hard, and celebrate the progress along the way. I’m always busy staying active in the community, connecting with people, exploring new opportunities, and finding better ways to support you. Most importantly, my goal here at YouthQuake is to show each of you that there is always a second chance, a chance to grow, to begin again, and to create the very best in all of your endeavors.
